Shannas Family Affair, ‘Lucy’, was Top Puppy 1992 but her show career was also adversely effected by my business commitments at that time. She gained her first Reserve Challenge Certificate as a Junior, beating her grandmother, Mystique, for the award. It was on that day that the decision to retire Mystique was taken!
She was awarded her first CC by Sonia Upton at Scottish Breeds in 1993.
Lucy only had one litter, sired by Sh Ch Glynderys High ‘N’ Mighty at Liric. Unfortunately this required a caesarean and Lucy died less than 48 hours after the operation, we believe from septicaemia. The only surviving puppy was hand reared and went on to become Sh Ch Shannas Solitaire.
